TACA Seminar on Saturday, April 20

Talk About Curing Autism has arranged a full afternoon of learning for those attending their Autism Learning Seminar on Saturday April 20, 2013.  The session is from 1-5pm at Home State Bank in Crystal Lake.  It is free, but an RSVP is required.   Three speakers will be featured:  Micki Moran, JD, Michelle Burr, and Dr. Greg Brown.

Micki Moran, JD, will discuss “Getting Everything You Can Out of Your IEP Meeting“.  She is a founding partner of The Child and Family Law Center of the North Shore.   Her practice is founded on the philosophy that children and their families often require a multidisciplinary approach to intervention.

Michelle Burr is offering “Parenting 101:  Back to Basics” for parents desiring optimal family functioning.  Recently she created “Survivor:  Parenthood” a company with a series of practical workshops to adress families needs in an effective and economic way.

Finally, Dr. Greg Brown will present “Chronic Lyme Disease and the Autism Spectrum Disorders”.   As research continues, it becomes clearer that chronic infection is a major player in autism spectrum disorders.  Dr. Brown will explore the issues around Lyme.  He is an Internist and Medical Director at the ARCH Medical Center in Franklin, Wisconsin.
